AttentionTag Vision Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Attention Tag", "we", "us", "our" or "the platform") provides analytics services to educational institutions, corporate clients, and event organizers. AttentionTag operates as a business-to-business (B2B) service provider, acting solely as a data processor on behalf of its clients. Our clients, including educators and organizations, remain the owners and controllers — or Data Fiduciaries under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — of the data. Our services capture and process user engagement data to improve educational and training outcomes.
We use webcam images and inferred engagement analytics through the AttentionTag SDK. Clients integrate and enable this SDK in their own platform or through plug-and-play plugins/integrations. Inferencing occurs directly on the attendee's client, browser, or device. The platform does not directly collect data from end users unless enabled by the client through explicit product configuration.
The platform allows clients to the use above inferred data for improving the engagement and outcomes. Data storage, access and processing is solely based on the instructions of its institutional or corporate clients.
Data processed through the platform is retained for 6 months from creation (default, unless agreed differently with a client), after which it is deleted. Where a client relationship ends, clients have a 30-day window to export their data, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems, unless a longer period is required by law or separately agreed.
The platform allows its clients to collect engagement data for their users. Where applicable, the app explicitly asks meeting attendees for consent, and shows consent status while using the app. Clients have the option to enable an explicit consent modal within the Attention Tag product to collect direct end-user consent when needed, or to obtain this consent through other means appropriate to their context.
This also applies to parental or guardian consent for participants who are minors. The applicable age threshold and consent requirements vary by jurisdiction — for example, under 13 under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), under 16 by default under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and under 18 under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Clients — as Data Controllers or Data Fiduciaries — remain responsible for obtaining any consent required under applicable law; Attention Tag implements safeguards appropriate to the relevant jurisdiction and supports clients in compliant deployment.
In India specifically, Attention Tag is aware of the DPDP Act's provisions on children's data (Section 9) and the DPDP Rules, 2025, which include exemptions available to educational institutions for tracking and behavioural monitoring undertaken for their own educational activities or child-safety purposes. Attention Tag's processing for education clients is structured to support clients relying on this framework, with the client retaining the role of Data Fiduciary.
End users and their legal guardians may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting privacy@attentiontag.com. AttentionTag will coordinate such requests with the responsible data controller (institution or speaker) in compliance with applicable laws.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We implement organizational, technical, and physical safeguards to protect collected data.
Attention Tag's Zoom and Microsoft Teams integrations are listed on the Zoom App Marketplace and Microsoft Teams App Store respectively, each of which required passing that platform's own security and privacy review before listing.
